Care explained in Korean, start to finish
Carrollton's Koreatown grew up around Old Denton Road near the Bush Turnpike, anchored by H Mart and lined with Korean restaurants, shops and businesses. It's one of the best-known Korean communities in North Texas. For a lot of families, especially parents and grandparents, a dental decision is easier to make in Korean.
Dr. Chloe Kim is originally from Seoul. She has more than 15 years of experience and a calm, hands-on approach, and she explains each step before she does it. She's also a mom of three who volunteers on medical mission trips. Learn more on our team page, or read our Korean-language page.
Good to know: Korean is spoken by Dr. Kim. The rest of our team speaks English, Spanish and Vietnamese. If you'd like your visit in Korean, ask for Dr. Kim when you book. 한국어 진료를 원하시면 예약하실 때 Dr. Chloe Kim을 요청해 주세요.
Dental implants, planned in 3D
A dental implant replaces a missing tooth with a small post that fuses with your jawbone, topped with a crown that looks and works like a natural tooth. Good planning makes all the difference, so we take a 3D CBCT scan first. It shows your bone height and width, nerves and sinuses in three dimensions, which a regular x-ray can't.
If the bone has shrunk since a tooth was lost, bone grafting may be needed first to build a solid base. Healing usually takes several months before the final crown goes on. We'll map out the whole timeline at your consult. Both Dr. Kim and Dr. Anh Nguyen have a strong interest in implant care.
Costs vary with how many teeth, whether you need grafting, and the type of crown. Our implant cost guide covers typical ranges, and you'll get a written estimate before treatment. Financing through Cherry, Affirm and CareCredit is available, subject to credit approval.
Extractions and wisdom teeth, without the rush
Dr. Kim focuses on tooth extractions, including wisdom teeth. We numb thoroughly and check that you're numb before we begin. Most patients feel pressure, not pain. If you're anxious, ask about our sedation options, and we'll review which are appropriate for your health history.
When a tooth has to come out, we talk about what replaces it before the extraction, whether that's an implant, a bridge or a partial denture. Planning ahead helps protect the bone and the teeth next to the gap. Our wisdom teeth guide explains when removal makes sense.
Cosmetic care and crowns
Dr. Kim also focuses on cosmetic dentistry, from whitening to veneers. For worn, cracked or heavily filled teeth, a dental crown restores strength and shape. Dr. Carl Walker Prince focuses on crown and bridge work, and digital impressions mean no goopy trays.

How long is the drive from Carrollton's Koreatown?
About 20–30 minutes for roughly 14 miles. Take the President George Bush Turnpike west and south (it becomes SH-161), exit at Belt Line Road, and turn right onto Grande Bulevar at Irving Mall. For a toll-free option, take I-35E south to I-635 west, then Belt Line Road south.
Why do I need a 3D scan before a dental implant?
A 3D CBCT scan shows the height, width and density of your jawbone and the location of nerves and sinuses. That helps us choose the right implant size and position, and tells us early if you need a bone graft. It's a quick scan done in our office.
Can you remove a tooth and plan the implant at the same time?
Yes. We plan the replacement before the tooth comes out, so you know the whole path from the start. Whether the implant can go in right away or after healing depends on your bone and gums. Often the area heals first, sometimes with a bone graft, and the implant follows. Your 3D scan and exam guide that decision.
Are you open on weekends?
Yes. We're open Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome during open hours. If you'd like to see Dr. Kim specifically, call ahead so we can confirm her schedule.
