Getting here from Valley Ranch

From the MacArthur Boulevard side of Valley Ranch, head south on MacArthur across I-635 into Las Colinas, pick up SH-161 (President George Bush Turnpike) south, and exit at Belt Line Road. Follow Belt Line south about 2½ miles and turn right onto Grande Bulevar at the north edge of Irving Mall. It's roughly 7 miles, and usually 15–25 minutes.

Rather skip the toll lanes? Take I-635 west to Belt Line Road and ride Belt Line south the whole way. It crosses SH-114 and SH-161 and brings you right to Grande Bulevar. Parking is free when you arrive.

Why Valley Ranch families make the drive

Valley Ranch is a master-planned neighborhood in north Irving, just above I-635, known for more than five miles of canal-side walkways, Cimarron Park and a busy library on MacArthur. Kids here go to Coppell ISD or Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD schools, and weekday afternoons tend to belong to practices, lessons and homework.

That's why weekend hours matter. We're open Saturdays 9 to 6 and Sundays 9 to 1, and we can often book siblings back-to-back, with a parent's cleaning in the same block. One trip, everyone done.

One patient's Google review of Kudo Care Center puts it simply: they like that we “offer flexible appointment times, and are open on weekends.”

Kids' dental care, from the first tooth on

The American Dental Association recommends a first dental visit by a child's first birthday. That first visit is short and gentle. We count teeth, check for early soft spots, and show you how to brush tiny teeth. Our guide to your child's first dental visit walks you through it.

From there, children's dentistry at Kudo is about building trust. We explain each step in kid-friendly words, show the tools before we use them, and go at your child's pace. Our hygienist, My Phuong Tran, R.D.H., believes oral health is a life skill, and she teaches it in a calm, clear way kids actually remember.

Sealants and fluoride are two of the easiest ways to prevent cavities. Sealants coat the deep grooves of back molars, usually soon after they come in around ages 6 and 12. Fluoride varnish takes a minute and helps strengthen enamel. If we do find a cavity, tooth-colored fillings blend in with the tooth.

We accept most PPO plans, and Texas Medicaid and CHIP dental for children 18 and under.

Soccer, scooters and the canal trail

Active kids chip and knock out teeth. If a permanent tooth is knocked out, pick it up by the crown (not the root), rinse it gently, and try to place it back in the socket. If you can't, keep it in milk and come in right away. Time matters. See our emergency dentist page for more.

If your child hit their head, lost consciousness, or has a possible jaw fracture or bleeding that won't stop, go to the ER or call 911 first. We can see the teeth afterward.

A mouthguard for contact sports is one of the simplest ways to prevent these injuries in the first place.

Parents get care too

Busy parents are usually the last ones to book their own checkups. Family dentistry means we can see your youngest, your teenager and you on the same day, with one set of paperwork.

Adult cleanings and exams include digital x-rays and an intraoral camera, so you can see exactly what we see. Kudo Care Center's primary care and eye doctors work in the same building, too, which is handy when the family's physicals or eye exams are due.

Patients often visit us from these ZIP codes: 75063.

FAQ

Coming from Valley Ranch? Good questions.

Still have a question? Call (469) 706-0710 — a real person answers, in English, Spanish or Vietnamese.

How far is Kudo Care Dental from Valley Ranch?

About 7 miles, usually 15–25 minutes. Take MacArthur Boulevard south to SH-161 (a toll road) south, exit at Belt Line Road, and turn right onto Grande Bulevar at Irving Mall. For a toll-free route, take I-635 west to Belt Line Road and follow it south.

Can my kids and I all be seen on the same Saturday?

Usually, yes. Tell us how many people are coming when you book and we'll try to schedule everyone back-to-back. Saturdays fill up first, so booking a few weeks ahead helps. Sunday mornings from 9 to 1 are another good option.

Do you accept Medicaid or CHIP for children?

Yes. We accept Texas Medicaid and CHIP dental for children 18 and under. Bring your child's card to the visit. Our guide to Medicaid and CHIP dental for kids explains what's typically covered. For parents, we accept most PPO plans.

What age should my child first see a dentist?

By their first birthday, or within six months of the first tooth coming in. Early visits are quick and gentle. They let us spot problems early and help your child get comfortable with the dental chair before they ever need treatment.

What should I do if my child knocks out a tooth?

If it's a permanent tooth, hold it by the crown, rinse it gently, and try to put it back in the socket. If that's not possible, store it in milk and come in right away. Don't put a baby tooth back in. If there's a head injury, go to the ER first.
